Preparing The Ice

To enjoy your table to the full and get the most excitement out of it I think you need to prepare the ice. To do this you need to spread a thin layer of potato flour over the ice surface. I recommend you use a small sieve. Once the flour is on the ice you will need to get a soft brush and then brush the flour around the ice. I have done this on my table and I definitely recommend you do this to enjoy you table more.

Spraying The Rods & Cods

Like preparing the ice this is something you need to do to enjoy your table more. When you first get the table the rods do not run smoothly though the holes on the end boards. To make those rods run smoother though those holes you need to spray a silicon spray or oil onto the rods. To make those players turn around quicker you will need to spray the cods underneath the table with a silicon spray or oil. Beware this can be a bit messy to do so I recommend you do it on some sheets of newspaper or you can do it outside.

Taping The Players

It is very important when your playing your table that all your players have maximum contact with the ice surface. There is nothing more annoying than when your centre man has a great shot opportunity and the player's stick passes over the puck. The best way to stop this from happening is to tape the players down to there support. You can also use superglue but if you get a new team you want put on your table you won't get the old players off!

Reducing Wear

All the tables are well built but the holes on the end board where the rods pass though can be a vulnerable place. A way you can get around this is to superglue metal washes to the front of the holes to stop the rods wearing the plastic away. To do this you will need to take off the black stops on the end of the rods.
